North County Emergency Outreach Network (NCEON)

The Full Story

The North County Emergency Outreach Network (NCEON) is a Christian organization comprised of more than 35 churches and 5 civic organizations from the Glen Burnie, Harmans, Hanover, Linthicum, Millersville, Orchard Beach, Rivera Beach, Pasadena, and Severn areas. NCEON is an all-volunteer organization and does not receive any government funding.  All funds received by NCEON are donated by member organizations and private individuals.

NCEON was established in 1989 and has distributed over $10 million in food and funds to the less fortunate members of our community.  The ultimate goal of NCEON is to never be needed again.  This is made possible by the Grace of God and a community spirit that is Embodiment of the Compassion of Christ.

NCEON is a 501(C)3, all Volunteer organization and does not receive any Government funds.

Any support will be on a first come and served basis, with priority given to people that are facing an unexpected crisis that they did not create. Any funds will also come with conditions, such as the client needs to be otherwise stable and working towards self-sufficiency.

Emergency financial aid from NCEON

Occasionally, the donation levels  allows NCEON to provide financial assistance to individuals and families who are facing eviction or currently homeless.

Eligible applicants must be North County residents and have documentation of the cause of recent financial difficulties, such as a medical emergency, reduction in work hour or loss of employment. Moreover, all clients are expected to work toward self-sufficiency during their time as participants in the financial assistance program. Any type of monetary aid paid out by the faith based group will be very limited, and it is intended for housing or related expenses.

As with any application submitted, the person seeking help must provide documentation of a crisis in order to qualify for financial assistance and be able to progress toward financial stability. This will be required in order to receive a loan or any form of rental assistance from NCEON. Also, any support is available for very short term needs, and it will only be a partial payment.
